Archangel Raphael

I have received a request for any
knowledge or understanding I have of the Archangel Raphael
Angels have been explained from every
point of view …historical, psychological, and sociological.
It is said that angels come as thoughts, as visions, as dreams,
as humans, and yes even as animals and who knows how many other
ways angels make their appearance. If what I write does not
resonate with you, and is not congruent with your inner values
or teachings, then let my words go with the wind.
Raphael is a Hebrew name that translates
to "God Heals," or "One Who Heals" and he
is in charge of all healings of man, woman and child. He and
his angelic healers are also drawn to help those who work here
on earth as healers or in the healing profession. I love the
way his name sounds as it rolls off my tongue … I can feel
his presence as a sense of "gentle" energy whenever
I speak his name.
He is one of the seven chief angels
that stand before God's throne and is known as the Semitic God
of Air. Raphael's name appears in the apocryphal Old Testament
[Catholic version] Book of Tobit. In the book of Tobias there
is an enchanting story of this saint's miraculous powers and
his tender care towards travelers and the sick. If you are not
familiar with Tobit and his son, Tobias, you might find it very
endearing to read.
Archangel Raphael is charged to heal
the earth and is sometimes called the "Illuminator"
of light because he provides luminosity to help light the way
… he is also called upon by travelers for a safe harmonious
journey. Archangel Raphael is associated with Spring, and represents
birth, rebirth, renewal, awakenings and awareness.
Raphael governs the fourth Chakra,
"Heart," which corresponds to the color blue and his
color energies are yellow, white and indigo. Candles in these
colors are often burned when calling on Raphael for a healing.
Raphael corresponds to the following
Horoscope signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
Archangel Raphael assists with all
forms of healing including "Traditional" and "Complimentary."
He is known as the Master Healer and calling on Raphael can
bring emotional, mental, physical and spiritual healing.
Raphael is also called, Angel of
Love, Chief of the Guardian Angels, Angel of Heat, Prince of
the Virtues, Angel of the Sun, and the Angel of Wednesday and
Saturday.
It is said, when disorder of any
kind appears in your life, call upon Archangel Raphael who will
assist you if you allow this magnificent archangel and his team
of angels to be part of your life.
